About Beezy’s Rescue | Humane, Behavior-Informed Dog Rescue in LA and NY/CT
Beezy's Rescue is a bi-coastal, volunteer-run 501c3 non-profit charity that saves overlooked at at-risk dogs located in Los Angeles, California, and Redding, Connecticut.

Our Model
Foster care is our top priority. Our program is centered on home-based decompression, because a predictable place and routine can make all the difference! We do not believe in the long-term boarding of rescue dogs and will only “board” when absolutely necessary.
Each dog receives behavior-informed care through an individualized plan that accounts for L.E.G.S. (Learning, Environment, Genetics, Self) and the Five Domains of Animal Welfare. We employ reward-based methods and clear management strategies to minimize stress and foster a positive learning environment.
We offer comprehensive medical support ranging from routine vaccines and spay/neuter services to treatment for complex cases. We fund whatever each dog needs to heal and thrive, always prioritizing safety and comfort.
We also provide education and advocacy by publishing free resources for foster caregivers, adopters, and shelters. We advocate for humane, evidence-based policies and share tools that any community can use.
What We Do
- Pull dogs from overcrowded shelters and unsafe situations
- Match dogs with fosters who fit their needs
- Create practical behavior plans and provide training support
- Cover necessary medical care and recovery
- Prepare fosters for success with coaching and follow-up
- Share resources and training materials with our volunteers/fosters and the public

Where We Work
We work across Los Angeles as well as in Fairfield County and Westchester County in Connecticut and New York, building foster networks and adopter communities in both regions.
We are a “New Hope partner” with both Los Angeles Animal Services and New York Animal Care Centers, collaborating with local vets, volunteers, fosters, and adopters to move dogs thoughtfully from intake to stability.
