BECOME A FOSTER HOME TODAY

Every foster home saves a life. We are a foster‑based animal rescue, creating second chances for overlooked, abandoned, and at‑risk dogs. If you can provide a safe place, we’ll provide everything else: medical care, supplies, and behavior support.

How fostering works

  1. Apply: Tell us about your home, pets, and preferences. It takes only a few minutes.
  2. Match: We’ll discuss current dogs in need and match based on your setup and comfort level.
  3. Welcome home: We deliver starter supplies, review your dog’s care plan, and schedule the first vet check if needed.
  4. Ongoing support: We stay with you for the entire journey. You’ll have direct access to our team for questions, behavior coaching, and medical coordination.

Why Fostering Saves Lives

Fostering builds compassionate “capacity.” When a dog enters a foster home, a kennel becomes available for another pet in need at the shelter. More space can lead to fewer euthanasias due to crowding and better care for every animal still inside.

Fostering reduces stress. Life in a shelter is loud and confusing; even a short stay in a home greatly lowers stress hormones (cortisol) in dogs. Less stress boosts immune health and behavior, making dogs healthier and more likely to be adopted.

Fostering increases adoption chances. Large multi-shelter studies show that even short outings boost adoption rates by about 5 times, and 1–2 night foster stays increase it over 14 times (compared to no break at all). Real-world time in a home helps dogs relax, show their personalities, and connect with adopters more quickly.

Fostering prevents illness and speeds recovery. Homes decrease exposure to shelter-borne disease and provide safer, quieter environments for healing, especially for medical cases, puppies, and seniors who need TLC.

Fostering gives us better information to find the right match. Your notes, photos, and short videos from daily life help us write honest bios, target outreach, and place dogs in homes where they’ll thrive, reducing returns and freeing up spaces for the next life we save.
